Jerusalem and Bethlehem
What to Expect
Embark on a sacred journey to two of the holiest Christian sites in the world – Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Our exploration begins atop Mount Scopus, offering a panoramic vista of Jerusalem. We then traverse through significant landmarks such as the Garden of Gethsemane, Church of All Nations, and Kidron Valley en route to the Old City. Within the Jewish Quarter, we visit the Byzantine Cardo and the revered Western Wall. Following the path of Jesus along the Via Dolorosa, we arrive at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, a 12th-century sanctuary encompassing the crucifixion site at Calvary and Christ's burial tomb. Departing from Jerusalem, our journey continues to Bethlehem. At Manger Square, we behold the Basilica of the Nativity, home to the Grotto of the Nativity, where Jesus was born, and marvel at the original excavated mosaic dating back to the 4th century, commemorating St. Helen's construction of the first church. If feasible, we'll explore the chapel caves beneath the Church of Saint Catherine. Before leaving Bethlehem, we will visit a Palestinian Christian family and their boutique Olive Wood Craft shop and experience the ancient craft of wood working. Concluding our pilgrimage, we return to our hotels, enriched by the spiritual significance of our expedition.
